Would the conference support my visa application? ” el_id=”1471107652596-2d0dc126-d139″]No. We cannot support your application with the visa issuing office. However, we can provide a letter of invitation, that you can include with your visa application package, upon payment of registration fees. All conference delegates are responsible for their own travel and visa arrangements. The organizers of iWISE2017 will not take any responsibility for travel or visa problems and cannot issue refunds should a visa application be refused. Visa processing may take up to 3 months for some countries. Please check Canada visa processing times through the Government of Canada website.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do I have to submit a full paper to present at iWISE2017?” el_id=”1471119002572-f8b111ae-dc75″]While it’s highly recommended, you can still be accepted based only on the submission of your abstract. However, you will need to submit a full paper to guarantee having your paper published in one of the official journals.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I’m considering submitting a full paper. Do I need to submit an abstract prior to submitting my full paper?” el_id=”1472104857039-8952d20c-d505″]No. You can submit your abstract along with your full paper on the same submission. Just make sure that you submit on or before the deadline.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”If the paper is authored by more than one author, how can we register for the conference? ” el_id=”1471107815874-49c0c301-eb91″]The presenting author will have to register as a “Presenter”. All other co-authors will have to register as guests. All authors will have to pay the registration fees individually[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”I want to attend the conference without submitting a proposal. Please specify “Guest” as the type of participation in the registration form.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”If selected, which journal my paper will be published in? ” el_id=”1471107813946-0436a82a-1f1f”]The International Journal of Environment and Sustainability and The International Journal of Sustainable Land Use & Urban Planning are the official journals for iWISE2017. Only proposals with accepted and peer reviewed full papers will be granted free publication[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What payment options you offer for paying registration fees?” el_id=”1471199357426-21ec2164-4169″]You can either pay online using credit/debit card or ask us to send you an invoice with instructions on wire transfer or manager’s cheque. Admin fees may apply on wire transfer payments.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I pay conference registration fees onsite at the registration desk after arrival? ” el_id=”1482766125687-db6b6c7c-47d0″]Registration fee payment has to be cleared on or before the conference registration deadlines. We won’t be able to accept any payments onsite.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is there a special registration rate or sponsorship opportunities for students or for participants from developing countries? ” el_id=”1471108075469-de1ba034-8d02″]Unfortunately we won’t be able to offer discounted registration fees or sponsorship. We encourage participants to seek sponsorship from home organization or other concerned bodies[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do registration fees include insurance? ” el_id=”1471118227155-4e0ddec7-b61c”]No. You will need to arrange your own insureance coverage. The conference cannot accept any liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to the delegates, either during, or as a result of the meeting. Participants’ cancellations taking place:
  • On or before Feb 28, 2017, will receive a full refund less an admin charge of USD$50
  • After Feb 28, 2017 and before May 30, 2017, will receive a 50% refund
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations occurring on or after May 30, 2017
  • Substitute delegates will be accepted at any stage
Cancellation of the Conference

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the conference in case of any unpredictable event. Full refund against registration fees will be issued to all paid participants using the same payment method. Refund admin fees may apply.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What if I have a special physical requirements?” el_id=”1471118129943-952cc0b9-70de”]Please advise the conference organizers of any physical requirements so that your needs can be accommodated[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How can I book my hotel room? Do you have a special rate for accommodation?” el_id=”1471107816782-90a21c48-ec95″]You will have to arrange your own accommodation. Science Target doesn’t offer accommodation registration or booking. Conference Services at Carleton University provides accommodations in students’ residence. It’s well connected to major cities in Europe and North America. [/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Visas & Letters of Invitation”][vc_column_text]If you are travelling to the conference from outside Canada, please check visa regulations before making any travel arrangements. If you need a letter of invitation for a visa application, then we will be happy to supply this after we have received full payment.

We will not to supply an invitation letter to any delegate without registration and payment. Following registration and payment of associated fees a confirmation/receipt letter will be dispatched by email. Following this, applications for a letter of invitation should be requested and received no later than 30th April 2017 by email. A letter of invitation will be sent via email.
